Giada Vercelli
Chair of the Board of Trustees

Giada Vercelli joined the board in early 2025 as Chair, a role she embraced after seeing her own daughter thrive and graduate from the school. An Advance HE Associate Fellow, she is a fourth-year PhD candidate in the History of Art and Archaeology at SOAS, University of London, specialising in transcultural artistic exchanges. While teaching Curating Global Arts and Museum Studies at SOAS, Giada contributed to programmes with Saudi Universities. She previously co-edited the SOAS Journal of Postgraduate Research.
Before entering academia, Giada spent over two decades in international financial journalism and editorial leadership. An award-winning author on gender and the 2008 financial crisis, she served as US Correspondent reporting live from the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq for Bloomberg TV and SKY TV. She later developed and moderated global economic content for S&P’s Equity Research, Euromoney Conferences, and Fitzroy Consultant, working on foreign direct investment and development initiatives with national governments across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, as well as with supranational organisations including international development banks, the OECD, where she contributed with the launch the PISA financial literacy assessment, and the World Bank.
A highly committed advocate for inclusion and knowledge exchange, she has led global diversity initiatives at McGraw-Hill as global co-chair of networks promoting women’s leadership and financial literacy. Giada speaks multiple European languages, and lives in London with her family and their beloved spaniel.
