Alumni Ishan Mahabir-Stokes joining Scottish Ballet

We are delighted to announce that our ex- dancer Ishan Mahabir-Stokes will be joining Scottish Ballet this month.

ISHAN says:  “ Joining YDA in year 7 the prospect of becoming a professional dancer seemed a very far off goal. But having achieved that goal and looking back now I feel so grateful for each and every day spent at the school. YDA nurtured me as a dancer, an artist and a free thinker and taught me how to be part of a community. These are all so important when joining a professional ballet company and there is no doubt I would not be where I am today, without my 5 happy years spent at the school. “
